OK, I don't usually write reviews of things for the sake of it but this product is beyond what anyone can expect for free.
I wanted a simple directory of suppliers so chose SOBI and within a day or so (I'm not too quick & very picky), I had configured the module, styled the templates, changed the custom fields, got the Google maps to work great, set up SEF URLs for all the listings automatically and customised all the e-mails. I even had a paypal link with prices for extra features.
However, I did run into a couple of issues. I couldn't get a couple of things to be just how I wanted them so I visited the public forums and within an hour I had the issue solved (OK, I did write a decent post asking for help but then surely that's the way it should be?!). Moreover, when the helpful guy(s) from the dev team visted my site he also pointed out (and help me fix) a couple of other issues he spotted. You simply can't ask for more than that! This is the best experience I've had with OS software and my wife (who isn't into computers) can't believe there are people like this out there. Can't recommend this extension highly enough.
