After realizing I was having issues on my end after reaching server resource limits, I attempted an install of SOBI 2.5.2, and in conjunction with Open-SEF, I had the component and its SEF URLs working like a charm. While I haven't spent a lot of time with it yet, it has some very useful configuration options and features, and what is even better is the fact that the component is actively being developed with very useful plugins. I assume we'll soon see the addition of a commenting system along with the component. Thanks to the developers!!
