SOBI2 is the best COM for directories which I tested, and I tested ALL mayor directories.

But why should you use sobi2.

At first this com is the biggest which I every saw and there is a non-stop development. You have a com, a lot of plugins, mambots and modul to make your Sobi2 more like you want and in the forum you will find tips how you can make your own template and a coop with other com, mod and plugins of the joomla core. Some of extension´s are for free and another are commercial, but believe me, I would pay more than 100$ for this whole work but this masterpiece is for free. Every few months new feature will be integrated and bugs which are posted by the user are solved. Thats another point, the support is just great, Neo and Trinity try to answer almost all question and for the "easy" problems they are a lot of Moderator´s some of theme use Sobi2 a long time.

And thats make it for beginners hard to master. If you have enough skills you can make your own templates for the category and details view, customization. But listing, on the side you will find a lot of "HOW to make this" stuff which explain every single step. And this can be a problem, of course you can just install the com and that what you need but SOBI2 give you the ability to make more than you can image. I just use Sobi2 a few months and still don´t know all.

It is just a big com, the biggest which I saw and works great with J1.5.6.
