SOBI 2 generates information for the meta description, meta keys and meta generator.You can change the default behaviour by changing the corresponding settings in the registry editor (configuration file). Note: this description is based on version RC 2.9.2.2 of SOBI 2. In older versions the behavior could be different. Generation of the data depend on the actual SOBI view. The directory/component name is entered in SOBI 2 Administration -> General Configuration -> General -> "Component Name". name="keywords" content="Directory Name" /> name="description" content="Directory Name. Directory Description" /> By default these data replaces the Joomla! meta data from "Global Configuration" for SOBI pages. You can change this to append the directory meta data to the Joomla! meta data by changing these settings in the section [general] in the registry editor. Key:meta_desc_append Key:meta_keys_append It will look like this: name="keywords" content="joomla, Joomla, Directory Name" /> name="description" content="Joomla! - content management system. Directory Name. Directory Description" /> SOBI has its own generator data. By default this replaces the Joomla! generator data for SOBI pages. You can change this to append the directory meta generator to the Joomla! meta generator by changing these settings in the section [general] in the registry editor. Directory Description" /> Meta Data for Main Category View of SOBIIn the category views the category name and description are added in front of the directory name to the meta description. Category name and introtext are added in front of the directory name to the meta keys. Category Description" /> Meta Data for Sub Category View of SOBIIn the category views the category name and description are added in front of the directory name to the meta description. Category name and introtext are added in front of the directory name to the meta keys. In sub categories it will look like this: name="keywords" content="Directory Name, Sub Category Name, Sub Category Introtext" /> name="description" content="Directory Name. Sub Category Name. Sub Category Description" /> Meta Data for Details View of SOBIIf meta data for entries should be used (SOBI 2 Administration -> General Configuration -> General -> "Use Meta Tags" is set to "yes") the meta description and keywords as entered for the specific entry will be added. Otherwise only directory name and category data (if available) are used. If "Sigrid, best entry" are the keywords and "Sigrids Meta Description" is the description of an entry, the meta data will look like: name="keywords" content="Sigrid, best entry, Directory Name, Category Name, Category Introtext" /> name="description" content="Sigrids Meta Description. Directory Name. Category Name. Category Description" /> Meta Data for Search Page of SOBIBy default a standard description and standard keywords are added in front of directory name and description. Key:add_to_meta_description Key:add_to_meta_keys With the default settings the search meta data look like: name="keywords" content="search, directory, find, Directory Name" /> name="description" content="Search function. Directory Name. Directory Description" /> Meta Data for Add/Edit Entry Page of SOBIBy default a standard description and standard keywords are added in front of directory name and description. Key:add_to_meta_description Key:add_to_meta_keys With the default settings the add entry meta data look like: name="keywords" content="add, promote, Directory Name" /> name="description" content="Add new entry into the directory. Directory Name. Directory Description" /> Meta Data for Special Task Pages of SOBIThe special task pages (user listings, latest entries, popular entries, aso.) are handled in the same way as SOBI frontpage. By default directory name and description are used for meta data. |
