Media plug in not working

Help me pls.

I am new to sobi and I am trying to create a business directory and want to add video clips to each entry, so i am using the media plugin (what video format is compatable) I have tried lots of different types but nothing seems to work.

Please help me - i have also installed the flash player but it is still not working

I am using joomla 1
sobi 2 not sure wich version but downloaded it today from this site and also media plugin downloaded today.
