And one thing that I forgot yesterday, Can the entry sort by "Latest Update" ?

In the case, I want to show the latest news from entry owner, so it must be sort by latest updated entry.

By "Latest Update" I presume you mean it does not matter when the entry was created, but when it was last updated. So the entries may be very old, but were recently updated.
Sorry, but the answer is NO (at the moment), but I think this is a good feature to include in a later release.
I will add it to my list of "things to do".

Regards - Mark
PS: One slight issue/problem, it is possible for entries to be updated (by editing and saving), but no changes are made to the entry content. In this case the entry could appear in Latest Updates sort, even though no change was made to the actual content.

Yes It is.

Yup, that condition can happen. I forgot about this issue before  :silly:

But still I think this good feature as we can used simple featured module as latest company news or latest announcement which is sorted by latest updated. And about the issue I don't find the answer yet.
I don't know...Is it possible when edit an entry, the "specified field like field_latestnews" chosen become blank (the content dissapear) ?

Thx Mark for including it in later release ..  :)

dhaing,

I am going to see if I can include a Sorting Order:
Date Edited: ascending
Date Edited: descending
to the next release.

Entry
Is it possible when edit an entry, the "specified field like field_latestnews" chosen become blank (the content disappear) ?

Sorry, but I am not sure what you mean by this.
Can you provide an example illustrating what you mean?

Regards - Mark

hey Mark,

First, congratulations for this module, is a great usefull tool, and thanks for your time and dedication for the support and documentation.

I'm in need a feature, maybe simple, you can help me, or maybe add this feature in the next update.

I need to show the featured entries in 2 columns, maybe a template can resolve my problem, or a new configuration "display in how much columns?" and a combo box with the answers: "1, 2, 3,...".

Thank you for your attention.

Fabio

I need to show the featured entries in 2 columns
Fabio,

mod_sobi2simplefeatured can already do this using CSS.
Refer CSS Styling - Displaying Entries 'side-by-side'

Wow, how did I miss this module before? Great job!. The features I would like to see in this are as follows:

1. Display description intro text, limited to (x) characters.
2. Display gallery instead of icon, switchable in module parameters.
3. Choose between horizontal/vertical display in module (be able to choose the number of entries in a row)
4. Display category in entry.

By the way, how much for the pro version?

NateM,

1. Display description intro text, limited to (x) characters.
I am working on this for the next version

2. Display gallery instead of icon, switchable in module parameters.
I am thinking about this.

3. Choose between horizontal/vertical display in module (be able to choose the number of entries in a row)
I will probably never do this, because the most reliable way to achieve this is for the module to output in tables, and it is not necessary if you know how to style the module with CSS. Also, since the module has never output tables, it would be difficult to implement this without 'breaking' existing users CSS settings.

4. Display category in entry.
Others have mentioned this, but I am not exactly sure what people mean by this. I would need some sort of specification to understand exactly what is required.

By the way, how much for the pro version?
I have not decided. I have not had the 'spare time' to set up a payments system and work through the taxation issues. Please remember I have a full time job, and the module was originally developed for my own needs. I work on it and helping other SOBI2 users in my 'spare time'.
