 The SOBI2 Development Team proudly presents a new version of SOBI2.
In this version we focused our work on the reduction of the memory consumption to make SOBI2 more flexible. But there are also many other highlights.
In the new version you will find a lot of new features, like
- Basic template for the add/edit entry form - You can now
customize your add/edit entry form. See example of use here: http://mambo.sigsiu.net/directory/add-new.html
- Possibility to edit the add/edit entry form template within
the back-end.
- Template parser with syntax error check - for easy catching
of syntax errors in the template files.
- Status filter for entries in Entry Manager - it will help
you to administrate your directory if you have a lot of entries.
- Possibility to renew expired entries - you can now earn
money much more easier if the entry has been expired.
- Possibility to edit config.ini in back-end (registry
editor) - the
config.ini file contains many advanced settings and options. You can
now edit these options comfortable in the SOBI2 admin panel.
- "Quick edit/edit in place" function (experimental) - This
function
allows to edit custom field data quickly and comfortable directly in
the details view.
... and much more other new features. Also there are some minor improvements and bug fixes. You will find the full list of new features and changes in the Changelog.

 Download Plugin for SOBI2 A new version of the "Download" plugin for SOBI2 is available now.
The plugin can now be used on Windows servers and with MySQL versions before 5.0.3.
Also we added the possibility to switch off the Upload Button in the Add Entry Form.

We released new versions of Latest Entries and the Menu Module.
Beyond some small bug fixes we added new features to the latest entries module. The entry logo or icon can be shown now in the module w/o the title text. The title text can be shortened if it is too long, three dots are added.
CSS class "sobi2latest" is added to ul/li tags with optional class suffix.

A new version of the "Gallery" plugin for SOBI2 is available now.
We added several new settings. In V-Card and Details View a text can be shown if no image is available. Also the first thumbnail can be shown in the V-Card. The number of images per row is adjustable now, so the Gallery can be shown in multiple columns and rows. The table sizes are calculated automatically depending on the thumbnail size (if adjusted).
The bigger images can be shown in a popup window instead of using the Lightbox effect (best results in Firefox only).
Also we added a Dutch language file. Thanks to Robert Zijl
Because of the new feature to have multiple columns and rows, the layout has changed. Please check it after update. There are also some new CSS styles added.

A new version of our OpenSEF plugin for SOBI2 is available now.
Use this plugin to create search engine friendly URLs for SOBI2.
The plugin is for use with the OpenSEF SEF component.
The created URLs are stored in the OpenSEF database tables. Therefore you are able to change them afterwards.
Some of the settings of OpenSEF will be used for creating the URLs.
The behaviour of the plugin can be changed via the SOBI2 administration panel.
Changes made:
- + Add: Link priority for FURLs
- # Bugfix: Double component name in FURL
- # Bugfix: FURL pointing directly to the component instead of details view
