Update SobiPro and its applications to the most recent version before reporting a problem!

We are continously improving SobiPro and its applications, fixing bugs and making working with them more easy. Still we see that some users report problems for older versions. Mostly they are already fixed. If you are using older versions, please update SobiPro and its applications to the most recent versions!

Hi lipatovroman It may be missleading that you have this option when creating a new menu item, but I am afraid, you can't preselect a category like this. There is code in the club forum and Trinity has written a guide that describes how to do this. Both are available for club members. http://sobipro.sigsiu.net/faq/templates-a-design http://sobipro.sigsiu.net/faq/templates-a-design/279-How-to-set-default-category-in-Add-Entry-Form regards goedda76

Hmmm... If I can not preselect a category this way, so why we have this option for menu item?

Well, you can use this option when you want to show a SobiPro category instead of a section. It just does not have any effect when showing an 'add entry' form. The developers will renew the admin panel and make it '
more user friendly and more XXI century convenient
' with the release of SobiPro 1.1. They may correct this small problem as well... https://forum.sigsiu.net/sobipro/(discussion)-about-these-things-with-sobipro-1-1-joomla!-3-0-and-bootstrap/

In this other thread, the moderator was talking about the ready-to-use "Business directory with price packages" template package http://sobipro.sigsiu.net/download/templates/260-Business-Directory-with-Price-Packages and the documentation about the method http://sobipro.sigsiu.net/documentation/templates-and-design/259-Creating-price-packages-with-SobiPro-templates They use the same method as described above to create a preselected category. And no matter how much you pressure, I am not going to publish intellectual property of SigSiu in the public forum. If you are not able to recreate it on your own and you would like to have access to the ready-to-use package or the documentation about the method(s), then you will have to pay a membership. Sorry mate.

I'm not going to deceive anybody. I'm ready to purchase subscription, but no one gives me assurance that I will be able to do what I need using this component. I think, that different fields in different categories - is major option, that must have, without any hacks and packges. For example, this option included in k2 and other components. I trying to understand, will I able to do, what I want with sobipro. And I got only link to paid content and manuals. There is no any demo examples... Any! I repeat, I'm ready to pay a membership, but I want be sure, for what I pay.
