I am having this same issue but can't get to the admin control panel anymore to change the database settings. Is there a way to do it manually on the component files? Can we download 1.4.7 to get it back to functional until this is worked out?

I also was experiencing this issue. The way was able fix it was backup the website using akeeba backup - uninstalling the sobi component - reinstalling sobi component - restoring from backup. Now I can connect with the sobi admin panel ok.

Update not working for me either.

    An error has occurred.
Cannot initialise Sobi Framework. Ensure that your server has PHAR support or install the Sobi Framework manually.

Its rather sad that there is no reply from Admin.

    Just for the record.
Sobipro installs OK as a clean install. (on my server.)

    BUT....
I cannot update any (older) existing installations, without getting errors.

    Frangedakis

The 1.4.7.2 update is already active.
    If you don't see it....

Check that you have "SobiPro Updates" ticked in your joomla instalation.
    https://yoursite.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_installer&view=updatesites

Clean your updates cache, then check for new updates.
You should now see the Sobipro 1.4.7.2 update
