Because of a
bug in Internet Explorer 8 it can be that some functionality of our forum is disturbed.
There are two solutions for it:
- Use another browser: this is the recommended method of course
- Enable IE 7 compatibility mode in your browser. See screenshot below

To clarify a misunderstanding: Microsoft describes the compatibility mode as a work-around for websites created for older browsers. This is definitely a
wrong information. We are using the latest version of SMF forum software. Beside them our forum works fine in
each other modern browser. So the compatibility mode is a work-around for bugs in Internet Explorer 8 and not for "older" websites.
