Security_images 4.0.1 - but unsintalled it still encounter prob. Currently trying to drop the tables and see what happens.

I'm getting wrong security codes all the time. Do I need to reinstall? Thanks.

Hi joseph21,

is your site offline (maintenance mode)?

The security code feature doesn't work if the site is offline.

I didn't drop the tables of security_images because I don't know where to find it, maybe it was deleted when I unsinstalled it. The site is not in maintenance mode. I'm going to try to reinstall the new SOBI2 RC2.5.7  Last time I downloaded SOBI2 RC 2.5.6 was 1 or 2 weeks ago.

Anyway I'll post here again for the result. I hope it's not the security_images that caused the conflict for the security code problem.

Mehr durch Zufall habe ich Sobi2 entdeckt und bin begeistert.
Natürlich habe ich SOBI2 ( Version Full Package - SOBI 2 RC2.5.7 ) sofort auf mein Joomla1.0.11 installiert und wollte es ausprobieren.

Leider werden meine Einträge im Frontend nicht angenommen, nach mehrmaliger Eingabe des angezeigten Sicherheits-Code kommt immer wieder die Meldung:

Falscher Sicherheits-Code
Ich habe bereits im Joomla-Forum diese Frage gestellt, aber leider konnte mir dort keiner weiterhelfen. Vielleicht bekomme ich hier Hilfe ?

I cleared the cache and still getting the error.. Does the site encoding has anything to do with it? I mean recently I've change my site's encoding at PHPmyAdmin to general_uni_ci and the english language template of joomla to 'charset=utf-8'

I have a demo site and it is working perfectly for SOBI2 RC 2.5.6, except that this one I didn't change to charset=utf-8

EDITED: I'm running it online not local

Ok, I tried setting everything back to charset=iso-8859-1 inside the language/english.php also that of include/database.php to eliminate the comment I placed. Still not a chance to making the security code work. The demo site is very lucky to work fine (too bad its the demo site that worked fine). I wonder what I did wrong, I reinstalled more than 3 times already even dropped the tables. There might be some conflict with other extensions from SOBI?
