hello,

i followed your steps for the cloning but i got an error when trying to install the component zip file.

"Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package."

in the c:\sobiclone folder i have the extracted component folder of the latest sobi2 and also the xml file which is named comclonesobi.xml

when i created a zip file i highlighted the extracted sobi component folder and the comclonesobi.xml and made sobiclone.zip

did i do anything wrong to get the install error?

maybe i did not understand which files i need to make the zip files.

I need a clone of SOBI2 for my site. I already used the following clones of SOBI2.

• com_sobi2markt
• com_marketplace
• com_sobi2
• com_sobi2test
• com_syclone
• com_tobi2
• com_product
• com_directory

but i need more clone. so can any one have other clone?
because i have tried to clone by myself but it not worked properly.

Hello, I have been able to install it the extra component no problem.
After it is installed, I cannot install any plug-ins.
I am getting this error:
Error: Could not parse XML file. Installation aborted (93)
I am using a mac, I have also tried it on my pc, using someone else's method.
And I have tried installing it on different servers.
any advice?

Also, if it is successfully clone, does the Search module display results from both? Is there a way to have one directory listing calling from both?

I am happy to report I was able to clone the SOBI program into 3 more directories and I successfully am able to clone the expiration plugin for one of the 3 and I'm sure I can do it for the other 2.

However, I'm having troubles cloning the other plugins like report listing, ordering plugin, import and backup. I'm sure I'm going to need to get another order number for the import and backup plugin, that is fine, but once I do, I'm sure it would be useless until I can get the plugins cloned correctly. I'm just not able to install the original plugin or the cloned plugin.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I know that they are installed once you are in the backend and in the particular directory in which to install.

My cloned directories are:

Knoxsupport
Knox
ChattSupport

and I know I'm cloning with those same names, just getting 'not finding install package'

I just cloned succesfully with "sobi2cloner". No need to intall Cygwin. This is specially made vor window users.
