New SOBI and the Gallery Plugin Critical Error
« on: 08. June 2009, 10:00:51 »
Hello again everyone

I have just installed the gallery plugin into my new directory and I have run into a problem. I keep getting: "Critical Error: calling "getInstance" method from the config constructor." Then a whole heap of code I don't understand.

http://homesafesitters.co.nz/add-new-listing.html

Database Version: 5.1.30
PHP Version: 5.2.9
Joomla! Version: Joomla! 1.5.10 Production/Stable

A wee while ago I installed the gallery fine with no problems:

Anyone have any idea what has gone wrong this time?

Your help as always would be much appreciated!

New SOBI and the Gallery Plugin Critical Error

Hi Guys

I have an issue with the gallery plugin and the latest version of SOBI.  Followed the instructions for the upgrade.  Now when I click on an entry and select the Gallery tab I get a critical error.

I have attached the dump below.

Thanks

Ok, I'm very new at this so I am just going to attach everything I find, it is probably too much, but please bear with me.

Database Version: 5.1.30
PHP Version: 5.2.9
Joomla! Version: Joomla! 1.5.10 Production/Stable [ Wohmamni ] 27-March-2009 23:00 GMT

Here is the page it's on:

http://homesafesitters.co.nz/add-new-listing.html

You can log in quickly with test and test.

Anything else needed?

Also, I thought I may attach a screenshot too as I promised my members a brilliant upgrade, which has taken me much longer than anticipated due to my newbieness. I'm probably going to have to find a workaround so they can at least get their listings up and stop sending me irate emails!

Can anyone suggest anything I can offer in the meantime to keep them happy?

Thank you for your help.

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what you just said. I've read it a few times but I don't even know where to start  ???

Could you please explain where I need to go and what I need to change where? That would be great.

Thanks again.

Hi laterales,

Go to your sobi backend >>>Configuration>> Registry editor
Scoll down (in the section url) to find the key "on_bad_itemid"

Please don't double post  ;)

In the SObi2 backend admin, click on Configuration, then click on Registry Editor

Scroll down to the group of options under the title "Section: [url]"

Find the option called "on_bad_itemid" and change its value to "overwrite"

Then scroll back up to the top pf the page and click on "Save"
