What about SEFAdvance, anyone tried it?
The SEF Advance (http://www.sakic.net) plugin for SOBI2 has limited support and has SOBI2 RC 2.9.1 as it's requirement. I do not know if the SEF Advance extension for SOBI2 works with versions of SOBI2 later than RC 2.9.1

SEF Advance without the SEF Advance extension for SOBI2 but using the SobiSEF plugin may be a possibility.

This article is a little dated (24-Aug-2009) Joomla 1.5 SEO Extension Comparison, but may be helpful.

I would still argue, that if your Web Site content is mostly generated by Joomla! core components and SOBI2, then Joomla! native SEF URL's and the SobiSEF plugin are adequate.
Refer When to Use a SEF Component
Since the purpose of using SEF Components is normally to improve SERPS rankings, the benefits of SEF Components only impact a few of the factors in Google's SERPS ranking algorithims. I would argue that Content and External Links to your Web Site are still the important factor. Note that Google's Webmaster guidelines and related articles do not put a lot of emphasis on SEF URL's.

I have sh404 installed and it works for most parts.
Apart the display of search urls which still looks:

http://www.example.com/de/search-dir.html?Itemid=&SobiCatSelected_0=1077&SobiCatSelected_1=0&field_activity=all&reset=2&search=Suche&searchphrase=all&sobi2Search=Fahrr%C3%A4der&sobiCid=1077

First question before I put in the changes of Neo from 1st page.

Will the search url be changed after adding the changes? Just curious because the thread is one year old and a lot of changes happened to both Sobi2 and sh404.

Version: sh404-1.5.6.398

anyone ? :)

What version of sh404 are you using? Do you have Joomfish installed?
I have most things working without Neo's modification, apart of the search url and wrong browser title. The only change is a small modification regarding Joomfish compatibility.

Hi

Thank you for your answer !

I am using the free version of sh404sef and I didn't install joomfish.

I would recommend to disable SOBI2 sef plugin first. Also I would recommend using the latest version of sh404 I can only give feedback with the latest version.

Configuration should include the category in url (advanced settings) and itemid in title (for avoid issues with double titled entries).
