SOBI2 RC 2.8.5 has been released

The SOBI2 Development Team proudly presents a new version of SOBI2.

In this version we implemented a fully new cache function to speed up SOBI2. But there are also many other highlights.

New features:

New cache functionality implemented to speed up SOBI2 on your site.
A system check function to check if your installation is compatible with SOBI2 and a report creation function for supporting your SOBI2 version easier.
Sending e-mails on renewing an entry is possible now. A corresponding e-mail template is available in the SOBI2 administration panel.
An "empty cell callback function" is integrated now. Use the empty space in your V-card listings for advertising.

... and much more other new features. Also there are some minor improvements and bug fixes and some special exception handlings for Joomla! 1.5. You will find the full list of new features and changes in the Changelog.

The deprecated functions dtree, standard (old) SOBI2 search and file/directory permission changes are removed from the administration panel and switched off by default.
