With SOBI2 you can embed Youtube videos very easy on your site. This is a standard SOBI2 feature and don't need an additional plugin. The Youtube video will be shown in the details view of your entries.
Part I
The code in the Youtube embed fields looks like this width="425" height="344"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/asRILJ-1EYw&hl=en&fs=1"> </param> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/asRILJ-1EYw&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"> </embed> </object> You need only the URL of the video. In this case it is the address http://www.youtube.com/v/asRILJ-1EYw.
Part IIIf you don't want to extract the Youtube URL from the Youtube embed field, you can alternatively use the given URL from Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asRILJ-1EYw. For that you need the file embed.field.php which you can download in our Download Directory. Copy this file to the folder components/com_sobi2/includes of your site. Please note, if you use this automatic translation method, only linked media fields for Youtube videos may be used. |
