To install SOBI2 on Joomla! 1.5, legacy mode is not needed. But make sure that Joomla! 1.5 FTP layer is switched off before installing SOBI2.

Istalling SOBI 2

1. Login to your Joomla 1.5 Administration back end if not already loged in.
2. Select Install/Uninstall from the Extensions menu in Joomla Administration back end. It will take you to the Extension Manager Page.



3. Click on Install



4. From the Upload Package File click Browse and select your SOBI 2 Component installation zip package file which you downloaded earlier. The name of the zip package file would be similar to com_sobi2-X.X.X.zip where X.X.X would be the current version.



5. Once selected you will see the path to your file in the horizontal box besides the Browse button.



6. Now click Upload File & Install (This will start to upload the file to your server and install it).
7. Once the install is complete you will get a confirmation message that the install was successful.




Congratulations! if you see this message you have now successfully installed Sigsiu Online Business Index 2 on your Joomla 1.5 and are ready to use it. You can access your SOBI2 Directory Component through Joomla Administrator Menu in Components Section.
