Update SobiPro and its applications to the most recent version before reporting a problem!

We are continously improving SobiPro and its applications, fixing bugs and making working with them more easy. Still we see that some users report problems for older versions. Mostly they are already fixed. If you are using older versions, please update SobiPro and its applications to the most recent versions!

Can I install Sobipro 2+ directly onto a new Jooma install?

I tried first with the demo and it wanted me to have an earlier version on there first - which doesn’t work, of course.

Thanks!

Yes you can.

This is strange.
I just installed SobiPro demo 2.3.4.5 on a fresh Joomla 4 installation and had no problems.
Which Joomla version you have? 3 or 4? Have you had installed SobiPro 1 in the past on this system?
Please make a screenshot of the error message.
Thanks,
Sigrid

Ok, I figured out that problem - I was using an old database.
So, everything clear and fresh new installation of Joomla 4.

This is the only error I got:
"Error initialising SobiPro: Joomla\Filesystem\File::move: Rename failed."

What part of Sobi would this affect?
--------

Lastly, is it possible to import a database of items from 1.6.5.1 into the new version? What would I need to make sure works, custom fields? Etc.

Thank you for the help! I want to make sure all of this works before going full steam! :)

Update SobiPro to the version we released today.

You can transfer custom fields with the template packager. To import entries, use the Import/Export application.
