SobiPro Announcement
SobiPro 2.5 is available!

As an active customer download the full version of SobiPro from the description page or download the trial version of SobiPro free of charge.

SobiPro 2.5 is Joomla 5 compatible.
We are in the process to test our applications if they work with Joomla 5. Tested applications will be available in repository. You can download untested versions that may work on Joomla 5 on our site.

Repository certificate renewed!

The SSL certificate of the repository expired and we had to renew it. Please update the repository as described here and have your subscription token and id handy. You will find them on your personal club account page My Subscriptions.

Update SobiPro and its applications to the most recent version before reporting a problem!

We are continously improving SobiPro and its applications, fixing bugs and making working with them more easy. Still we see that some users report problems for older versions. Mostly they are already fixed. If you are using older versions, please update SobiPro and its applications to the most recent versions!

I have an established community forum (using CB) and want to extend it and wondered if SobiPro could help.

I have 2k premium members, but a database of 200k businesses. I want to load the 200k onto a directory where non members can 'claim' their listing.

To claim the listing and edit/extend it, they would need to be paid members. So the ideal process is:

Claim listing
Register (via CB)
Access and edit listing

I somehow think that this is not 'out of the box', but would this work

Claim listing (send email to admin)
Register (via CB) - this sets the user level (e.g. premium) and gives access rights to create a listing
Admin links existing listing to user/member
User/member access and edit listing

In practice, I have 2 user main groups - free & premium. I would like each of these to have different listing option levels, giving premium better listings

Does this sound workable?

I need more than the SobiPro commerce side can offer, as there are a lot more benefits, and ideally only want one user database or not to duplicate the data.

Hi

I think this should be possible. You can set visitors to only view/search listings and use for example contact form field for claim functionality. Then user can register and admin can assign claimed entry to him.
To made this process easier you can even allow using contact form (to claim) to registered user, then admin will get in one message data of the entry and user so it will be even easier to assign such entry to new user.
Of course everything can be done on default (Joomla!) users data base.
