Update SobiPro and its applications to the most recent version before reporting a problem!

We are continously improving SobiPro and its applications, fixing bugs and making working with them more easy. Still we see that some users report problems for older versions. Mostly they are already fixed. If you are using older versions, please update SobiPro and its applications to the most recent versions!

I get error: Unexpected file extension in "... /libraries/sobi/http://Sobi-1.0.8.phar.tar.gz/Framework.php" when updating to SobiPro 1.4.9.

I have installed SobiPro three times over previous installation and still get the error.

... with Joomla 3.9.3 and PHP Version 7.1.26 .

Please advise what to do.

Joomla 3.9.3 now inhibits the loading of our phar packed framework. https://developer.joomla.org/security-centre/770-20190206-core-implement-the-typo3-phar-stream-wrapper.html

We need to find a solution how to overcome this new limitation of Joomla. Until then, please do NOT update Joomla on your SobiPro powered site or revert back to Joomla 3.9.2.

The issue is caused by the implementation of the TYPO3 PHAR stream wrapper
see: https://developer.joomla.org/security-centre.html

I replaced the changed files in libraries (cmd.php) and in folder vendor/composer (autoload_classmap.php, autoload_psr4.php, autoload_static.php, classloader.php and installed.json) with the old ones and it's working again :)

Great, thanks, that works!
small correction: cms.php instead of cmd.php

Hello,

I get the same error after updating from Joomla 3.9.2 to 3.9.3.
-------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------
warning
Unexpected file extension in "phar: ///mnt............./libraries/sobi/http://Sobi-1.0.8.phar.tar.gz/Framework.php

The over-installation of SobiPro 1.4.9 brings no change

Joomla 3.9.3 and PHP Version 7.2

What can I do?

I have the same problem.

And I can't install Sobi Pro 1.4.9 once more because I get this error: "Unexpected file extension in "... libraries/sobi/http://Sobi-1.0.8.phar.tar.gz/Framework.php".

PHP version 7.2.14
Joomla 3.9.3

I have Phar support on the server.

I also tried extracting the archive manually as described here: https://www.sigsiu.net/center/sobipro-component/154-sobi-framework. This didn't solve the problem.

What to do?

Also I can not install SobiPro 1.4.9.

Even then, the error message appears

"Unexpected file extension in" ... libraries / sobi / Sobi-1.0.8.phar.tar.gz / Framework.php ".

Same here. In /administrator I get the following:

An error has occurred.

Same here :(

1535198703 Unexpected file extension in "phar:///is/htdocs/xxxx/www/xxxx/libraries/sobi/http://Sobi-1.0.8.phar.tar.gz/Framework.php"

extracting the files did not help either

Happened after update to Joomla 3.9.3; before the update everything worked just fine.

Rolling back to Joomla 3.9.2 did the trick for me.

Hello Robert,

The problem is that Joomla 3.9.3 is a security release.

Hi,

Same issue. How long should it take to be fixed? I unpublished Sobipro modules so the page would be displayed, but they are important parts of it.

Also, how can I go back to Joomla 3.9.2 in the meantime? I restored a backup from 2 days ago in the host manager, but I still have Joomla 3.9.3 (I updated to Joomla 3.9.3 this morning).

Thanks !

Should have checked download section first. Thank you.

Same issue here. Our SobiPro directory is the primary income source for our website so we must have it working. We tried Jochen Vogler's fix but it did not work so we went back to 3.9.2. Do you have a projection for when this issue will be fixed?
