Applications for SobiPro
More about the various applications for SobiPro
Not all functionality is included directly in the SobiPro core. This keeps the core package lean and allows you to install only the features you actually need. Additional functionality is provided through applications, which integrate seamlessly with SobiPro and behave as if they were part of the core system.
Applications are organised into different application types.
The following application types are available:
- application: Applications extend SobiPro with additional functionality. Users familiar with Sobi2 may recognise these as the former Sobi2 plugins. The term plugin is no longer used to avoid confusion with Joomla plugins.
Applications can either be enabled for specific sections or be available globally across all sections. - field: Field applications add new custom field types to SobiPro. Once installed, they are available in all sections.
- payment: Payment applications add additional payment gateways to SobiPro.
- template: Template packages may include additional functionality and are therefore treated as applications. Many template packages also install a pre-configured section with fields and settings.
- language: Language packages provide translations for the SobiPro core. Translations for applications are included with the corresponding application.
- module: Module applications are standard Joomla modules designed to work with SobiPro.
- plugin: Plugin applications are standard Joomla plugins designed to work with SobiPro.
SobiPro offers a wide range of applications to extend and customise your directories. While some applications are available free of charge, others require an eligible subscription.
Free Applications
Some free applications are installed automatically during the SobiPro installation process. These core applications are required by SobiPro and cannot be uninstalled.
